Biography	The winner of Corus A 2002, Bareev has managed to climb to the impressive #4 spot of the world ranking. While he might leave an impression of a non-chalant player with a calm demeanor have no illusions: Evgeny is the real deal. His own harshest critic, he works hard on and off the board and can beat anyone on any given day. After winning the world under 16 championship in 1982, many predicted a bright future to this talented grandmaster who at 37 seems to be peaking in a world where youngsters now dominate. His strongest traits are his enviable technique and a strong fighting spirit.
