Nine-round, three-round event and the rapid tournament
These events are open for players of any level.
Weekend-three-round event (15 - 17 January)

* Note: 30/60 minutes when mechanical clocks are used, without increment per move; this same rate of play (60 minutes extra time without increment) will be used if a ‘norm group’ would be possible in the nine-round event.
In the three- and nine-round event the following will apply: Any player who arrives at the chessboard for the first time in a game, after more than one hour after the scheduled time to start, will lose the game, unless the arbiter has a good reason to lengthen the term.
Rapid seven-round Swiss tournament (23 - 24 January)

Consumption of alcoholic drinks, smoking and the use of mobile phones are prohibited in the playing rooms.

Entries
- Only entries via the electronic form (preferred by the organisation) as well as by returning the reply card you might have received will be accepted. Entries by e-mail will be ignored.
- Entry is possible from now on, up to and including 12 January 2010, but the sooner your reaction the bigger the chance to participate. The organisers will draw for allotment in an event if it is fully booked already, on November the 13th.
- In case the allotment is not favourable for you, you will receive a message.
- From November the 18th on, there will be published a list with participants in the amateur groups on our website, to be updated every Friday.
- All participants in the Corus Chess Tournament 2010 will receive a so called ‘proof of participation’ in the first week of January 2010.
- The organisers would like to give as many people as possible the chance to take part in the tournament. Participants in the nine-round event can not enter for the weekend-three-round event and/or the rapid tournament. In cases this might occur, the organisation will cancel the entry in the nine-round event.

Prizes
There are money prizes in all events. Distribution of the prizes will stop thirty minutes after the last round in the event has finished. Afterwards prizes are not to be paid anymore.
